MBA graduates in 2009 experienced a lull in hiring, leaving many to wonder what the future held for them in terms of employment. However, as the economy has begun to pick up after more than a year and a half in crisis mode, the 2010 MBA graduates are finding that they may have job opportunities headed their way.
Some experts believe that although MBAs may have a longer job search than previous classes, they have a better shot of finding full-time employment than 2009 graduates, according to U.S. News & World Report.
MBA students are finding this assumption to be correct as they embark on their job searches.
"The job market is a little bit better [for me] than my classmates who graduated in 2009, but it still seemed to be very competitive and it was very difficult to get my foot in the door," MBA student Ryan Utsumi told the news provider. "Ideally, I would've had something wrapped up earlier on."
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, individuals with MBA degrees have a better chance of employment than those with bachelor's degrees.
