MBA degree across America are becoming increasingly attractive to students from all over the world.
Michael Fronmueller, dean of Colorado State University-Pueblo's Hasan School of Business, told the Pueblo Pueblo Chieftain recently that especially among European students, "just having an MBA no longer cuts it," and that "competitively, they need to do something to distinguish themselves and that typically means going abroad."
For American students, international study experience offers equally promising career advantages. In fact, last year Yale University even became the first in the country to require MBA students to spend two weeks studying abroad, in countries like China, Argentina, Costa Rica and South Africa, according to CNN.
"Many MBA will work in positions that will require them to work cross-culturally, whether it's directly or indirectly," Professor Zhiwu Chen told the news network.
Also, in October the Wall Street Journal reported that Americans with MBAs were using the economic downturn to explore new career opportunities in other countries, especially those with emerging economies like Brazil , Dubai and China.
The newspaper cited one poll of 738 people which found that under present economic conditions, 20 percent were more willing to explore career opportunities in other countries.
