Some MBAs are starting to break away from the business sector and begin focusing on other industries, such as nonprofits and sustainable practices. However, one of the crème de le crème positions on most MBAs' minds continues to be a coveted Wall Street job.
A new survey by Training The Street (TTS), which provides financial modeling courses, found that since Wall Street firms have picked up their hiring, they continue to be the top employment choice for MBA students.
Approximately 40 percent of respondents answered that large financial firms are their most desired places of employment when they graduate from their MBA program. Additionally, 80 percent said they felt confident that they will be hired upon the completion of their program and 59 percent expect their starting salaries to be between $100,000 and $125,000.
The survey also found that 57 percent of MBA students said that they were being most actively recruited by large financial firms.
If you're interested in working on Wall Street, a finance MBA may give you the tools you need to make smart business decisions that could help you stand out.
