A typical move in various companies is to promote individuals who have a vast experience in their professional sector. This may include people who have MBA degrees, as it shows an initiative that people are willing to back to school in order to boost their knowledge for their desired sector.
Joule Unlimited, which is pushing its production of Liquid Fuel from the Sun, recently announced that it appointed John Ward as the senior vice president of production. He will be in charge of overseeing the company's scale-up planning, director and construction, as it continues to produce solar-derived fuels and chemicals.
In addition to having an MBA degree, Ward has more than 20 years of experience leading the design, construction and operations of biopharmaceutical facilities. Executives for the company say they believe that Ward's expertise will prove to be a valuable asset when it comes to furthering production.
"His knowledge of building successful commercial operations around sophisticated new technologies will be a tremendous asset, ensuring that critical process and production milestones are met throughout our current pilot program and beyond," said Bill Sims, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Joule.
