The economy has left millions of Americans out of work, some of them being MBAs. Although an MBA degree may make it easier to find a job, some individuals are still struggling.
Even though being laid off may be stressful, some individuals are making the most of it by setting their own schedules and working on freelance projects to stay on top of their game, according to the Wall Street Journal, which has been following out-of-work MBAs.
Some unemployed MBAs are trying to examine their options carefully. While some are turning to networking for temporary jobs or freelance work, others are consulting, as it could result in a high hourly wage.
Time management can also be an effective strategy when job hunting, as individuals are able to take on a number of projects while searching for a career. Keeping busy is what could keep creativity alive.
While the current market may be tough, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, MBAs may have it a bit easier, as they are statistically more likely to find a job than a bachelor's degree holder.
