Ronald "Ron" Ristau, who has an MBA degree, was a recently appointed to chief financial officer (CFO) of Signet Jewelers following the retirement of Walker Boyd. In addition to having an MBA, Ristau has had previous experience in various executive positions.
Prior to his appointment at Signet, Ristau worked for New York & Company as the president, CFO and director. During his tenure, he was in charge of accounting, financial planning, sourcing and distribution, among other responsibilities.
Signet executives looked at Ristau's background and found that his experience made him qualified for the position.
"His detailed hands-on retail experience, as well as his time as the CFO of a NYSE listed company, means he brings valuable experience to Signet," said Signet chief executive, Terry Burman.
