Globalization has become integral in how business is conducted. Because so many markets are feeling financial strain, they rely on each other to ensure that they are meeting the right audience. Due to this trend, many MBA students are looking to international markets for a firsthand look at the corporate world.
A group of MBA students is heading to India to pursue internships in start-up companies, according to the Economic Times. These students were selected as part of their program's India Lab, which is an innovative internship program.
Prasenjit Kundu, who works as a design manager at Dhama Apparel Innovations, told the news provider that students are seeking out Indian start-ups because they can get a firsthand experience with different cultures and technologies.
"There is an increasing trend among foreign students to intern in Indian startups as they get exposure to interesting technologies, which is not possible in a big company," he said.
Enrolling in an MBA program may give you the knowledge you need to succeed in international markets. According to BusinessWeek, many students are opting to travel to countries with burgeoning markets.
