International business skills are increasingly necessary for MBA students in the U.S. and other countries.
One recent example of the growing international scope of MBA degrees comes from Idaho, where a group of 10 students from Taiwan are interning at area companies as one of the final steps toward their degrees.
According to the Idaho Statesman, the students are helping their host companies develop new business ties to Asia, while also offering new perspectives on traditional business issues like shipping.
"I'm constantly trying to figure out different ways of doing things and get other input in a fairly inexpensive way. This is one way to get some bright people who have different perspectives," Dave Wagers of Idaho Candy told the newspaper.
American students working towards MBA degrees are also receiving more and more experience to prepare them for the global market. For example, one recent report noted that some U.S. students were involved in a program that sends them to Africa to help develop information technology projects.
An MBA degree opens up many new career paths, both at home and elsewhere. If you are interested in pursuing a degree, there are many options from online courses to nearby classrooms to consider.
