When prospective students are deciding whether or not to apply to certain MBA programs, they sometimes consider their chances of being accepted. Some also wonder if their application submission timing could hurt their chances.
Veritas Prep, an MBA admissions consulting firm, recently revealed some commentary from MBA admissions directors, specifically regarding what they think about individuals who apply during the third round of applications.
Round three is the last possible time to apply for the upcoming academic program, and many students may believe that applying late could potentially hurt their chances of being accepted. However, Veritas' director of MBA admission research, Scott Shrum, believes that students have just as much of a chance as getting accepted during round three, as they would have in the first round.
"Round three is a melting pot of attractive applicants with legitimate reasons for waiting to apply, as well as last-minute applicants who - whether due to poor planning or unforeseen circumstances - hastily throw together ineffective applications," Shrum said.
If you're interested in pursuing an MBA degree but do not have the time to commit to a full-time program, you may want to consider an MBA online program.
