Study Finds MBA Students Are More Likely To Enter Into Entrepreneurial Endeavors

Many individuals seek an MBA degree with the hopes of acquiring a greater business knowledge that they will be able to adapt into their professional life.
A recent study conducted by the Summit Consulting on behalf of the Small Business Administration found that a majority of MBA graduates end up getting into entrepreneurship upon graduation. Specifically, MBA students who took entrepreneurial classes during their MBA programs were more likely to start their own business than students who did not take the specific classes.
Additionally, students who took entrepreneurial classes were noted to have a strong sense of leadership and other skills that are related to entrepreneurs.
The study found that the classes taken in an MBA program had more of an impact on a student's entrepreneurial knowledge as opposed to GPA or standardized test scores.
An MBA may also help you succeed in achieving an executive position. According to a study conducted by BusinessWeek, half of the top-10 chief executive officers (CEOs) they studied had pursued MBA degrees.
