A sizeable proportion of business school graduates have their career path set towards the financial sector, it has been claimed, a job you may already be in or would like to enter by studying for a finance MBA.

This is especially true for people who were previously planning a career in investment banking, but now have their sights set on corporate finance, private equity and consulting, the Wall Street Journal reports.

Speaking to the news resource, Unilever's University Relations Manager Christine Eggensperger says: "We're interviewing people and hearing that they've interned with investment banks and either didn't get an offer, or received an offer and are reluctant to go that path."

Furthermore, the firm is receiving more and more candidates at an MBA level interested in pursuing a career in the finance department, she states.

You may remember that it is not the first time the newspaper claimed that further education is becoming more popular with professionals.
