A Massachusetts state college has launched a new MBA program aimed at people interested in improving their current credentials or enhancing their resume for perspective employers.
Framingham State College's initiative offers people that opportunity as well as a feature called the Business Advisory Council, which has local business leaders meet regularly with faculty and staff. This relationship may also allow the business leaders to potentially recruit graduates of the program for open positions.
The 48-credit program, available on campus and online MBA courses, will cover strategy, management, human resources, marketing and finance, according to Framingham State. Students with an undergraduate major in business can complete the program in two years. Courses are offered in the fall and spring semesters, as well as during accelerated summer sessions.
"I already had a lot experience in business," said Lecia Schronce, a current student in the program. "But jobs I was looking at said 'MBA candidates only apply' or 'MBA only apply.' Not having an MBA limited me."
If you're a business professional interested in improving your resume and gaining advanced training, this might be your cue to consider working on an MBA degree.
