If you're interested in starting your own business, an MBA degree can give you all the tools you need to ensure success.
This week, WTOL in Toledo examined the benefits of entrepreneurs having MBA degrees. If you do pursue a degree, you will learn about everything from lining up investors and writing up a business plan to making key financial decisions.
"An MBA isn't just for someone looking to land a job on Wall Street anymore. There are a few great schools offering an education that teaches how to really start and run a business from the ground up," said Phil Siegel, a teacher at the Acton School of Business.
Also, entrepreneurs who study for MBAs will also get a quick lesson on how much there is to know about running a business. Jeff Smith, the CEO of Clarity Consulting, told the Chicago Tribune this week that students quickly realize they can't do everything - and that many people are "reticent" to acknowledge that.
Some programs that offer MBA degrees in entrepreneurship include Kaplan University and Capella University, as well as many others.
