"We have collaborated with industry leaders to create a relevant and compelling curriculum in sustainability," said David Plotkin, Marylhurst University provost. "Each course has been written to incorporate the important issues pertaining to the green movement."

The sustainable business concentration will be available solely online. Inaugural classes in the new program begin June 22, and enrollment is underway, according to the university.
Sustainable development is a sector seeing solid growth, due in no small part to the stimulus bill passed earlier this year, which focused on moving the U.S. towards a more sustainable future. The bill includes $62 billion in direct green spending, plus another $20 billion in tax incentives. The bill specifically allocates $500 million for the creation of green jobs and many states are creating their own green job initiatives as well, meaning experts in sustainable business are expected to be in great demand.
If you are interested in sustainable development, this might be the time to explore getting an MBA.
