As global markets continue to shift as a result of the recession, some MBA programs are reworking their curricula in order to address the current state of the business world.
The University of Wyoming (UW) recently restructured their MBA program so that students can learn how to effectively make a name for themselves in the corporate world, according to the school's website.
The programs will no longer offer dated materials, and students will begin covering current topics that are affecting the market. One of the focuses the program will look at the role of nonprofit organizations and how they can help a business. Additionally, students will be taught about the inner-workings of these organizations in case they want to pursue a career in nonprofits.
"Sponsor organization teams will tackle real business issues including both problems or opportunities that will make the classroom learning come alive," Brent Hathaway, UW College of Business dean, told the news provider. "Long-range plans are to also provide international opportunities for students."
Enrolling in an MBA program may teach you how to think strategically and how you can succeed in business despite a shaky market.
