MBAs Use Career Searching Tools To Help Them Gain Employment

When MBAs are beginning their career search for jobs, many try to use as many tools possible so they can properly promote themselves to potential employers.

While some individuals may choose the help of a career counselor, others work with financial recruiters that help send out resumes and make connections with corporations, according to The Wall Street Journal.

One MBA told the news provider that a financial recruiter's experience isn't everything. It's how they build relationships with companies and cater to the needs of their client that matters. After working with an experienced recruiter, Henry Chalian, a former relationship manager at J.P. Morgan, found that the recruiter was not working on his behalf.

However, when working with a recruiter who had less experience, Chalian found that he was more apt to make sure that Chalian was being served to the best possible ability. Keeping a client happy is crucial when someone is just starting out, which is why those with less experience may go the extra distance to meet his employment goals.

Having an MBA may make it easier to find a job. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, MBAs have a lower unemployment rate compared to individuals with bachelor's degrees.
