CME Group Appoints MBAs

The CME Group, which is a renowned derivatives marketplace, recently announced they would be appointing several employees to managing director positions. Many of these individuals have MBAs.
Among the appointments, Sam Coady, an MBA degree holder, was given the position of managing director of corporate finance, where he will oversee mergers and acquisitions. MBA Matthew Kelly was promoted to managing director and associate general counsel, and was placed in charge of covering patents and copyrights.
Brian McElligott, Brian Oliver and James Pieper, who all hold finance MBAs, were appointed to directors of information products management, business development and controller, respectively.
These appointments are an indication that many individuals who hold an MBA degree go on to accept positions with more responsibility. It also should be noted that these positions vary in different fields, exemplifying that an MBA degree can be a versatile certificate.
