Some MBA students in Iowa will soon have the opportunity to take advantage of a new program that will help them prepare to take exams to become chartered financial analysts.
According to Iowa's Press-Citizen newspaper, the University of Iowa and the CFA Institute are offering resources to MBA students who plan to go on to take the CFA exams.
"By mastering these fundamentals of the CFA Program, students will be well on their way to earning the highly valued CFA charter," Bob Johnson of the CFA Institute was quoted as saying in the report.
The process of becoming a chartered financial analyst involves passing three different exams. The newspaper notes that these exams each require about 250 hours of study and that less than half of prospective CFAs worldwide actually pass them.
Business professionals who earn a CFA designation are often financial analysts, an industry that works well with an MBA degree. If you are interested in pursuing your own MBA degree, take some time to learn what options may be available to you.
