Sometimes, individuals who hold MBA degrees have an easy time transitioning between sectors. Because most industries incorporate some form of business, having an MBA can be incredibly versatile. As a result of this, some MBA degree holders are chosen for various executive positions.
Joseph Magliarditi, who holds an MBA degree, was recently named the new executive vice president of gaming for Morgans Hotel Group (MGH) and the president and chief executive officer (CEO) for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
In addition to holding an MBA degree, Magliarditi has vast experience in the gaming industry. With more than 16 years in the sector, he was most recently the executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) for the M Resort.
"I'm very pleased to welcome Joe to the Hard Rock team," said Fred Kleisner, Chief Executive Officer of MHG. "With his extensive gaming experience and his active commitment to the Las Vegas tourism industry, Joe will be a strong and valuable addition to the leadership of Morgans Hotel Group."
