Applications for Business MBA Programs are Expected to Soar

Business schools are expecting a dramatic increase in applications for their MBA programs, according to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and one of these candidates could be you, if you decide to further your education and potentially your career.
People are taking the opportunity to sign up for MBA programs while the market is slowing down, the paper says, although a business degree may also arm you with the knowledge and skills needed to work alongside the structural changes in Wall Street.
"This is an investment. It's a lot of money and a lot of work," Colin Gallagher, who did a part-time MBA degree at Northeastern University in Boston tells the WSJ, although most of you may already understand that while an MBA can be difficult, it can reap rewards in future careers.
Gallagher now has a job at a technology company and advises those of you who have not had the time or energy to study before to apply to MBA programs now.
And the advice may reassure Phil Mintz, who recently voiced concerns on an MBA blog on Business Week whether he should leave his job to study, although this problem could be solved by studying for an online MBA
