US recently topped an IT competitiveness survey, although the authors warned that the gap is narrowing, meaning the US may have to do more to keep its innovative crown.
Skills, finance and infrastructure available were all important to this number one ranking, the study found, although those of you in the IT industry may be aware that with other nations catching up, firms could be wise to invest and spend more time on nurturing the skills of those of you in the sector.
"As an incubator of high-tech start-ups and technology innovation and as a developer of talent, the US remains a pace-setter," the executive summary of the report stated.
One way to keep the US top of the poll could be to allow staff to take part in MBA programs online, which you may be interested to join in order to move up the technology career ladder and potentially receive a higher wage.
Firms could turn to increasingly skilled staff to manage complex computer systems which are faced with rapid change.
And in case you need persuading further, Kaplan University - which provides MBA programs online - has a new partner: Kaplan College, which opened a new campus this week in Southeast Indianapolis.
