The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has added web-based online education options to its MBA courses. With the help of SS&C Technologies, which specializes in software services associated with banking, insurance and investments, the College of Business Administration will offer Zoologic Learning Solutions courses, which are already used for employee training and executive education in many companies, to its students.
"We are excited to have incorporated Zoologic's finance courses into our executive MBA classes," said James Wansley, head of the department of finance in the College of Business Administration. "Zoologic was the obvious choice for us to work with as its course content and delivery fully complement our programs at the University of Tennessee."
There will be 25 online MBA courses offered, focused on the financial sector aspects of the MBA curriculum, including courses in accounting, corporate finance, derivatives, equity and fixed income.
Both the executive MBA and the aerospace and defense MBA programs will have access to the web-based courses.
Online MBA programs and hybrid in-class and distance-learning MBA courses are becoming more popular as a way to balance work and education. This may be the ideal time to pursue an MBA degree.
