Diversity in the workplace is extremely important, particularly in today's global marketplace. To help MBA graduates of an Asian background network and hopefully find jobs, the first annual Asian MBA Leadership (AMBA) Conference and Career Expo is set to take place in New York.
The event is set to take place over three days, from September 10 to 13, and organizers anticipate it will attract over 8,000 MBA degreeholders.
Organizers felt there was demand for this type of event, as conferences held by the National Black MBA Association and National Society of Hispanic MBAs had great success, and that it was time for another minority group to raise its voice in the business world.
Event producer and CEO of Asian Diversity Jino Ahn explained, "the primary focus of AMBA is to bring together corporate recruiters, MBA job candidates and experienced business professionals to embrace the career potential that Asian-Americans provide to the workforce."
Among its many meetings, seminars and workshops, the career expo will also provide information on jobs in Asia to help those interested in taking their MBA skills worldwide.
With great networking opportunities such as this, it may be the right time to enroll in one of the country's many MBA programs.
