MBA's 'Fill Knowledge Gaps'

The country's youngest chief editor-publisher of a national magazine has spoken out about why he decided to undertake an MBA and the benefits he thinks it brings.

Writing on Business Week, Jonathon Scott Feit, formerly of Citizen Culture and With This Ring, says that he decided to gain a business degree to fill a gap in his knowledge, a gap you may too feel that you have and therefore have been considering an MBA, possibly online.

Feit continues: "With the MBA, I'll have an opportunity to apply my knowledge of the media's inner workings across industries, where I can make an impact beyond the page."

He also notes how a valued MBA degree cannot only make future career goals possible, but suggests that the holder has an ability which cannot be "pigeonholed", as graduates can turn their hand to all sorts of genres.

But if you are worried about what age ranges are accepted on MBA courses, FYH, writing on a Business Week forum, states that people are never too old to learn.

An MBA should be for yourself, the blogger adds, although they note that there are companies who do recognize the value of a professional with such a qualification.
