A recent study is offering some insight into the things you can expect in the future if you're planning to begin work on an MBA degree.
Veritas Prep recently spoke to a group of admissions officers from some of the nation's top business schools. In the survey, the admissions officers were mixed (53-40 percent) on whether the admissions process for MBA programs would become more simplified in the coming years.
A total of 60 percent believe that the next five years will see more of an emphasis on face to face or telephone interviews.
Nearly two-thirds of the respondents say that business experience is very important for those planning to enter a degree program, although 47 percent reported noticing that more and more students are working towards MBA degrees straight out of college.
The admissions officers also overwhelmingly indicated that they are interested in promoting a more diverse student body, and more than half said they would like larger applicant pools to select from.
"These survey results confirm the fact that admission into a leading business school is attainable for anyone with a compelling background, and that there is no single definition of a 'typical' MBA student," said Scott Shrum of Veritas.
