Individuals who hold an MBA degree may have a better chance of earning an executive position. Many companies tend to look for the most qualified candidates in terms of education and experience.
Ann Hazinski, who holds a finance MBA, was recently appointed vice president of finance and chief financial officer (CFO) for the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Hazinski has been involved in various financial positions for years, bolstering an impressive resume for the job.
After working in financial positions with the University of Notre Dame for approximately 20 years, Hazinski joined the ABP in November 2009 as the CFO designee. Her predecessor, Katharine Little, is retiring after being with the company for the past two decades.
Hazinski is looking forward to the new opportunity, citing that she believes in the company and what can be accomplished.
"I'm very pleased to have the opportunity to join the American Board of Pediatrics," Hazinski said. "The ABP is a prestigious organization with a distinguished national reputation."
