Although many MBA students may choose to go abroad for their studies, the newest hotspot location isn't London or Geneva, both of which were popular MBA destinations. Now, students are flocking to Tel Aviv, Israel.
Israel is known for its entrepreneurial opportunities, which is why it has become a popular place for MBAs to further their education in addition to making contacts, according to the Christian Science Monitor.
Although their business schools are not as highly ranked as some of the other top B-schools around the world, business insiders believe that its entrepreneurial economy is what makes Israel so appealing to students. The country boasts 60 companies listed on the NASDAQ exchange, which is the largest contingent of a non-U.S. firm.
The news provider also suggests that pursuing an MBA degree in Israel is cheaper than some of the business schools in the U.S., adding to their appeal.
Students who are interested in traveling for the MBA may want to consider a distance learning program first. This could allow them to see if they enjoy the school's program before they make the big move overseas.
