When many companies are looking to fill executive positions, a number of them choose candidates with MBA degrees for their business knowledge and ethics.
The pharmaceutical company, Adeona, announced that they have appointed James Kuo, who holds an MBA degree, as the business' new chairman, president and chief financial officer (CEO). His main responsibilities will be to launch the company's commercialization-stage products, establishing corporate partnerships and licensing pharmaceuticals.
Kuo has had a lot of experience with the medical and pharmaceutical field. He has been with the company since 2007, serving as the director. Prior to joining Adeona, he was the chairman and CEO of Cordex Pharmaceuticals and was a licensing executive for Pfizer and Myriad Genetics.
Adeona employee Steve Kanzer said that it's Kuo's experience that made him a good candidate for the job.
"He has been CEO of several publicly-traded companies, launched products in the life science sector, negotiated licensing deals while at large pharma and several biotech companies, and evaluated life science products and completed financings as a venture capitalist," he said in a statement.
If you're interested in obtaining an executive position, an MBA program could give you the experience needed to attain some high level positions.
