If you're looking to take the next step in your business career and education, MBA programs designed for working executives are reportedly gaining popularity at the nation's business schools.
This week, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that executive mba programs have made the jump from being "an exotic animal of higher education" into a mainstream education choice.
"Currently, we have more than 200 member schools and more than 300 member programs across the globe," Michael Desiderio of the Executive MBA Council told the newspaper.
Desiderio went on to say that students are typically in their mid to late thirties and tend to have more undergraduate work experience than traditional MBA students. He added that many candidates for these degrees have management experience and "may have been targeted as high potential employees."
The style of education in an executive mba program is also said to be more interactive than usual.
"To stay competitive in the world of business, these students need more tools in the toolbox," said Desiderio in the report.
