One nonprofit organization is reportedly helping MBA graduates line up the experience of a lifetime - regardless of whether they happen to be employed or not.
This week, syndicated columnist Kathleen Parker discussed the MBA Enterprise Corps, a program begun nearly two decades ago in the first Bush administration.
According to Parker, MBA volunteers are currently at work in 15 developing nations around the world, helping local entrepreneurs build up their businesses, and in the process, area economies.
The MBA program is part of the Citizen Development Corps, which reportedly operates in 50 countries with a $6 million annual budget and 7,500 volunteers. The column also notes that the program isn't for everyone - applicants are assessed on various traits like motivation and adaptability.
If overseas service is something that has always appealed to you, then this may be just the motivation you need to start working on your own MBA degree. Even professionals who don't join the MBA Enterprise Corps have a wide variety of options to choose from when it comes to pursuing opportunities in international business and other specialties.
