The career market is slowly picking up in terms of available opportunities. However, in order to receive higher qualifications for landing a job, many individuals are furthering their education in order to become a more desirable candidate to hiring managers.
While some MBAs may not have procured jobs upon graduation, they still are not as concerned as previous graduating classes have been, according to the Financial Times. Many MBAs have the mentality that they would rather be doing something they love rather than having a job for the sole purpose of being employed.
"I've gotten more picky," MBA student Jason Hild told the news provider. "I want a job congruent with what I've worked so hard for in business school. My biggest fear is taking something where I am compromising myself, or settling."
MBAs may have more flexibility when it comes to waiting for their dream job. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, MBAs are more likely to find employment compared to individuals who hold only bachelor's degrees.
