Will The Spending Drop Boost MBA's?

The Commerce Department has reported that September 2008 saw the biggest drop in personal spending for four years, a drop of 0.3 percent, it has been reported.

Despite the fall - which is the largest recorded since June 2004 - income rose by 0.2 percent, news which may interest those professionals in the business and finance sectors wondering what lies ahead for the future of the markets.

One route you may want to take could be to study for an online MBA, while participating in a distance learning program could enable you to keep working and juggle family and friend commitments at the same time.

Meanwhile, consumer inflation rose by 0.1 percent in September 2008, although this figure reaches 0.2 percent when energy and food costs are taken away from the equation, the report stated.

It has previously been reported that the instability of Wall Street may have opened up the opportunity for professionals to undertake an MBA program, while Jonathan Slack, the chief executive of the Association of Business Schools, told the UK newspaper the Guardian that business schools should be prepared to become increasingly popular.
