Michele Boose of Collier County, Florida, turned her life around from one of homelessness and drug addiction to getting her MBA degree, reports Winknews.com.
Boose now manages the transitional units for the St. Matthews House shelter, the very shelter she herself stayed in as a single mother of two sons nine years ago.
"I was so medicated, I don't even know how I made it through that year," Boose said.
With the shelter's help, she got herself clean and sober, moved into transitional housing and found a full time job. She got married and went back to school. After earning an undergraduate degree and this weekend will graduate from the MBA program at Hodges University.
"It just shows that anyone can do anything they put their mind to," said Boose. "It doesn't matter where you've been, you can overcome it."
