Those of you interested in international business may be interested to hear that the number of people in Kenya going back to education for an MBA degree is increasing, a trend which could be argued to also be occurring in the US.
According to Business Daily Africa, demand for a business administration master's and other professional qualifications has doubled within the past five years, which could mean that if you are studying for an international business MBA, you could find yourself working in Kenya as a further-qualified professional.
MBA enrolment at the United States International University School of Business increased from 730 in 2003, to 1,264 in 2008.
Commenting on a concept that may well intrigue you, Dr Mark Ogutu, the Programmes Coordinator for Postgraduate Studies at Kenya Methodist University, tells Business Daily Africa: "Globalisation has meant free movement of human capital and Kenyans are increasing their chances of competing globally by acquiring the right qualifications."
In other international business news, USA Today reports that business travelers working overseas get asked questions about the current presidential campaign, with more than 80 per cent of those in Japan claiming that they are interested in the election.
