Michael Grendi, an MBA degree holder, was recently named the new chief financial officer (CFO) for Beacon Enterprise Solutions, a designer of high performance information technology infrastructure solutions.
In addition to graduating from an MBA program, Grendi has more than 20 years experience working in the financial industry. He started out his career as a certified public accountant (CPA), and worked his way through numerous other positions in various companies.
Before his appointment at Beacon, Grendi served as the CFO for the Americas Division for Travelex, a global technology company that specializes in foreign exchange based in the United Kingdom.
Grendi said he believes that his prior experience helped train him to hold the CFO position at Beacon.
"My past experience building specialized finance teams and working on cross-border transactions will be valuable in fine tuning and adapting Beacon's accounting and international business functions to the highest standards," he said.
