A Minnesota executive with an MBA degree is demonstrating firsthand that you don't always have to move far from home to rise to the top of your field.
The Daily Journal of International Falls, Minnesota recently profiled Trudy Rautio, who started her business education with classes at a local community college before receiving a bachelor's degree from Bemidji (MN) State University and her MBA degree from the University of St. Thomas.
Rautio, the daughter of a logger and small business owner, is reportedly the chief financial officer and an executive vice president for Carlson, a multibillion dollar Minnesota company involved in travel, marketing and other industries.
"I’ve always been focused on the job at hand. You just continue to prove yourself by the work you do," Rautio told the newspaper.
