As the market continues to progressively change, MBA programs are also adapting in order to keep up with the newest innovations in technology.
However, many MBA administrators believe that the overall business model they teach has not changed in the past 30 years and there is still a need to revamp in order to make classess relevant, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
"Just doing the same as we did in the 20th century and making minor changes, I'm convinced, is not the way to go," MBA dean, Joseph Mazzola, told the news provider. "The curriculum has got to be redesigned to look at what value we are trying to add."
In order to make their teachings more relevant, some MBA professors are incorporating the financial crisis of 2008 into their classes to teach students about how to successfully avoid making similar mistakes that eventually led to the market crash.
