MBA Programs Kick Into High Gear To Help Students Find Jobs

As more managers are starting to hire, MBA students are doing what they can to stand out in the job market. Because of this, more MBA programs are starting to boost their career counseling and recruitment offerings to ensure that their students are given employment opportunities.
Some MBA programs have increased their recruiting budget by 50 percent in order to help students find jobs, according to the Wall Street Journal. This effort was put in place in order to ensure that schools have a high percentage of graduates who find employment.
When job opportunities were at a lull earlier this year, MBA programs stepped up to ensure that students had a shot at employment. Since hiring has picked up, MBA schools are now doing everything they can to help students meet with potential employers, including paying for their travel expenses for interview purposes.
Recently, a survey by Dice Holdings found that 52 percent of the 700 companies surveyed planned to hire more workers during the second half of the year, according to Kiplinger.
