After serving in the armed forces, when some soldiers return home they wonder what they're going to do to make a living. This is why some veterans are turning to MBA programs in order to get a handle on the business sector in the hopes of finding an employment endeavor.
MBA programs have noticed that more veterans are deciding to pursue a business degree in order to break into a new profession, according to the Independent. Additionally, program directors have noticed that MBA programs seem to be a natural fit for many of these students.
"Some subjects are new to them but they tend to be very bright and learn fast so they fit in very well," Sean Rickard, an MBA director, told the news provider. "In fact, the only way that you can tell them from the rest of the students is that they have the habit of walking around campus in file as if they were still in a rank-based environment."
According to BusinessWeek, some veterans who join MBA programs serve as leadership examples to their peers as they have been taught these kinds of qualities while serving in the armed forces.
