As the job market continues to adapt to the struggling economy, more individuals are looking for careers in unexpected areas. MBAs are now beginning to look into creative professions for work, using the resources they get from their MBA programs.
Many MBAs are starting to turn to luxury brands such as LVMH, which owns Louis Vuitton, Moët & Chandon and Tag Heuer, for job placements, according to BusinessWeek. The luxury brand currently has a program that helps develop future business leaders by teaching participants about international marketing.
The program's development director, Antoine Tirard, told the news provider that the company is looking to hire only the most qualified MBAs.
"One of our biggest challenges is to find top international talent that can combine strong financial awareness, good managerial skills, and an intuitive understanding of the creative process. It's a rare mix-and one that we regard as essential to our continuing success," Tirard said.
With globalization being a key part of the business world, having international market knowledge could help you get ahead in the workforce. Pursuing an MBA may give you the credentials you need to attract the attention of potential employers.
