MBA Named CEO Of SunGard Availability Services

SunGard recently announced that Andrew Stern will become the chief executive officer (CEO) of SunGard Availability Services. In addition to having an MBA degree, Stern has also held various executive positions throughout his career.
Prior to this appointment, Stern was the chairman and CEO for USinternetworking Incorporated, which was an application service provider that AT&T acquired in 2006. He was also a partner with Booz, Allen & Hamilton early in his career, and the executive vice president of strategy and reinsurance operations at USF&G Corporation.
"Andy's focus will be on delivering value to our customers as we continue to augment our recovery services and managed services offerings with highly available and resilient enterprise-grade cloud computing services," Cristobal Conde, president and chief executive officer of SunGard, said.
