Sometimes pursuing an MBA can lead to an executive position. While many believe that MBA degree-holders tend to stay in the business sector, an MBA offers individuals an opportunity to branch out.
Rebecca Gaskin, who holds an MBA degree, was recently named the executive director of New Life Lodge, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Burns, Tennessee.
The center, owned by the CRC Health Group, which is a provider of behavioral health services, has been around for more than 25 years. Gaskin has worked in the health group since 2005, serving as a regional director. In 2008, her leadership efforts helped her be recognized as one of CRC's Managers of the Year in 2008.
"Rebecca has been a tremendous asset to the CRC network of programs," Jerry Rhodes, President of CRC Health Group's Recovery Division, said in a statement. "Her exceptional managerial skills and passion for helping clients will help continue the tradition of excellence at New Life Lodge."
An executive MBA program can give you the tools in leadership, creativity and other skills to help you become a successful manager.
