MBA students are trained in a variety of fields on how to properly market products. Because the average age for an MBA is 27, many companies look to them for advice on how to properly market to a younger generation. Additionally, many MBA students are usually on top of all of the newest technologies.
Students from various MBA programs all over the world recently participated in a competition that asked them to solve some of the problems that plague the technology market, according to CNN Money.
As internet continues to be offered on a variety of devices, the students were asked to develop new ideas for connectivity and build a case study for how Ericsson, a telecommunications operator, could set itself up for the next 10 years.
"The combination of the best technology with the best business leadership will deliver us the next wave of economic growth while securing a sustainable future," Hans Vestberg, president and CEO of Ericsson, told the news provider.
If you're interested in pursuing a career in technology, an MBA may be a useful tool to give you business credentials. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, MBAs who work in the technology field typically have an MBA with a focus in either finance or database management.
