Richard Branson recently spoke to TODAYonline to give MBAs a better idea of what they can expect from the business world. While a strong sense of ethics are important, Branson told the news provider that he believes creativity, intuition and empathy are the strong characteristics that will help an individual succeed.
Branson also cautioned that some MBAs should be prepared to fail, as not all business ventures work out the way they were planned. The entrepreneur noted that his company, Virgin, had been through similar failures before with business ventures that did not pan out.
As a way to encourage MBAs to try new things, the Virgin founder told the news provider that it pays to take risks, as it can pay off handsomely in the long run.
