The current financial crisis has darkened the reputation of those with MBA degrees, but some are pointing to the good many of those holding MBAs have produced in the world.
The Economist notes that there is a new generation of people becoming MBAs, and these people grew up with a different worldview and in a different ethical environment than the ones who have become so vilified.

The student MBA oath of ethics points to a new generation more interested in the ability to bring social benefit with the skills learned in acquiring an MBA. Students are participating in global MBA programs or online MBA courses that bring them into contact with people around the world.
