Tim Watkins, an IT professional, tells the resource that part of his MBA tuition was reimbursed by his employer, an option you may wish to talk about with your manager.
"On the plus side, a well-rounded technical staff with enhanced knowledge in various disciplines can provide better support," the IT forum says, adding that on the other hand, this can make an employee more marketable because of their advanced knowledge, which could result in firms losing talent.
Computer World previously reported that according to its 2008 Salary Survey, the average income of a midlevel manager with a bachelor's was $90,650, rising to $99,488 with a master's and $102,861 with a PhD.
