Many MBA students know they're entering into a tough job market upon graduation. While holding an advanced degree may make it easier to find a career, MBAs should still be prepared for the interview process.
When an MBA uses social networking sites to get their name out there, there are ways to go about doing it correctly. For example, employers are impressed by candidates who take the initiative to learn about the company through websites such as Linkedin, according to Bankrate.com.
However, some employers expressed their annoyance with employee candidates friending workers on Facebook and sending messages.
"Instead of sending friend requests to people who don't know you, it's better to become a fan of the company," president of marketing firm The Voice of your Customer, Crystal Kendrick told the news provider.
Whichever way you decide to network post-graduation, if you have an MBA degree, be sure to instill upon your interviewer all of the lessons you learned throughout the program. This may show employers that you have a good business understanding and could be qualified for the position.
