The Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) serves as a gateway for many MBAs into the MBA programs of their choice and is only continuing to gain popularity.
The GMAT registration reached an all time high in 2008 with 301,800 MBA hopefuls, an 11 percent increase from 2007. Because of this upsurge, Kaplan Test Prep is looking to launch a course that will help individuals prepare for the exam through online education.
In addition to test preparation, MBA hopefuls will also have an online resource center for various MBA programs, including video on demand and online business school admissions events. The program also encourages the power of networking, allowing the future MBAs to connect with their peers as well as teachers.
"We based these revisions to our GMAT preparation course not only on our 40 plus years of GMAT expertise, but also on student feedback on what they are looking for in a successful GMAT prep program," said Jason Moss, the vice president of graduate programs, Kaplan Test Prep and admissions.
Individuals who are interested in an MBA program may want to consider taking the GMAT as opposed to the GRE as more schools tend to accept the test. Of course, some MBA hopefuls may feel comfortable taking both.
