Several senators recently delivered speeches discussing the effects of healthcare reform on MBAs, entrepreneurs and other small business owners.
On November 19, five Democratic senators spoke to the issue of healthcare reform and small business in the U.S. These companies could pay up to $2.4 trillion in healthcare costs over the next decade with the wrong reforms.
"Without the worry of high health costs, small businesses will be able to get back to what they do best: creating jobs, encouraging entrepreneurship, growing our economy and keeping our nation competitive in the global arena," said U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship chair Mary Landrieu.
Some economists believe the cost of healthcare has an impact on the ability of small companies to attract the best personnel.
