In order to succeed in the cutthroat financial world, individuals must have a keen business sense and know how to make good investments. An MBA is one tool that many people who are pursuing an executive position in the financial world tend to have.
FBR Capital Markets Corporation recently named Kevin Frisch, who has an MBA degree, as a managing director for their investment banking area. Frisch was appointed to the position in Arlington, Virginia, while Peter Marquis, who also went to school for finance, will be taking the helm in the New York branch.
"We continue to invest strategically in our investment banking and broader capital markets and brokerage capabilities," said James Neuhauser, CFA, Executive Vice President and Head of Investment Banking at FBR Capital Markets. "The addition of these seasoned professionals builds substantially upon our cross-platform industry coverage of industrials and regulated utilities and will result in immediate, additional value for clients."
Frisch has also had approximately 10 years experience at Lehman Brothers before the firm collapsed in 2008.
If you're interested in an executive position in the banking industry, a finance MBA may be the key you need to get ahead in the field.
